William R. "Bill" Miller, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at his home. He was born Jan. 3, 1929, in Chicago, the son of Roland S. Miller and Dorothy Stewart Miller. He and Velma Honey were married Oct. 24, 1950. She passed away in April of 1992.

SIKESTON, Mo. — Sikeston students who participate in extracurricular and cocurricular activities will be subject to drug and alcohol testing beginning in early October.On Tuesday, the district's board of education approved 6-1 the adoption of a student drug testing policy.
